Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon wasabi powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 6 ounce tuna steaks about 3/4 inch thick
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tablespoon avacado oil or other high smoke point oil
- 1 pound green beans trimmed

Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to a boil for cooking the beans.
- Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, wasabi, and garlic in an 8x8 inch pan. Add tuna and turn it several times to coat it with the marinade. Let the tuna rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Boil green beans for 3 minutes then drain and set aside.
- Remove tuna from marinade. Pat dry with a paper towel. Reserve the soy sauce mixture for later.
- Bring skillet to high heat. Then add oil.
- Carefully add tuna to the skillet, and sear to your desired level. About one minute per side will be rare. Three minutes per side will be well done and opaque.
- Remove tuna to a plate.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add marinade and green beans to the pan. Toss for a minute or two until coated and the sauce has reduced a bit.
- Plate the tuna with green beans. Add a spoon of sauce if you like.
